When MetLife first purchased the then-Pan Am Building in New York City it sought to reposition the building as a prestigious business address. A multi-faceted public relations campaign helped achieve this. Years later, when the company changed the signage at the top of the building from Pan Am to MetLife, it also sought high awareness of the event. Both successful programs were run in close coordination with the company’s internal public relations and advertising departments.
