Starting with the CBS-Westmoreland case (and most major litigation as well as ownership contests for CBS) Michael has advised management and legal counsel on communications aspects of commercial litigation, shareholder lawsuits, product liability, employment matters and white collar crime, environmental, class actions and other legal actions. Clients have included Fortune 50 companies such as Pfizer, Merck, BellSouth, Verizon, United Airlines, and Intel.
He has directed communications strategy for more than 50 bankruptcies and restructurings including Rockefeller Center, Yukos Oil, Mirant Energy, Continental Airlines, Valeo and Delphi. He has worked for several major law firms experiencing bankruptcies as well as major consumer brands and industrial companies.
He has helped design and manage communications response to crisis events including Countrywide, AIG, Salomon Brothers, other financial service institutions, pharmaceutical and bio tech companies and consumer product companies. He has worked for several top technology companies including the Pentium chip situation at Intel.
