Jim Parry began as a copywriter at Carl Ally, Inc. and, within ten years, co-founded Posey & Parry, whose clients included Conoco, General Foods, Pfizer, Reader's Digest and Bierersdorf. After a decade, he started James Parry, Inc., with clients such as Best Western and Pinkerton. In the 1990s and 2000s, Jim headed his own consulting service and, with others, secured clients such as CBS Owned & Operated TV stations.
He has won dozens of hunks of lucite and metal in various award shows.
He also had a novel published by what is now HarperCollins, has sold screenplays to Columbia and Universal and (not that it matters on the "creative side" in advertising ) has a BA cum laude from Harvard. With an interest in politics and having created advertising for campaigns from Nelson Rockefeller to Michael Dukakis to Mike Bloomberg, most recently Jim has begun blogging on Huffington Post.
